The ACCSESS project is a four-year Horizon 2020 project (May 2021-April 2025) with the vision to "Develop replicable carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) pathways towards a Climate Neutral Europe in 2050". The project aims to address the need for carbon dioxide removal (CDR) by

(i) improving CO2 capture integration in industrial installations as a key element to accelerate CCUS implementation, and
(ii) assessing the full CCUS chain as well as the societal integration of CCUS.

ACCSESS takes a cross-sectorial approach to CCUS, working with Pulp and Paper, Cement, Waste to Energy, and Biorefining sectors, which all have a large potential to act as CDR technologies. From this perspective, ACCSESS aims at fostering cross sectorial learning within the field of CCUS.
